About
Midwest Air Equipment Company
Midwest Air Equipment Company was founded by Sam Scherer in 1923,
Columbus, Ohio. Sam was instrumental in getting Central Vacuum Systems
installed in schools all over Ohio. Modern day medicines were not available to
cure illness and Sam's foresight to protect the air we breathe set the tone for
our future.
Since our beginning, we have represented The Spencer Turbine Company,
Windsor, CT., a privately held company in business since 1892. Midwest Air
Equipment Company continues to be in the Top Ten Representatives across
the United States with The Spencer Turbine Company.
In the 1970's, Dwight Kidnocker expanded our representation into the field of
low pressure dust collection systems. Dwight's mechanical engineering
background and vast knowledge of Air Handling Systems increased our
ability to apply more equipment to the manufacturing industry.
In 1983, Bill Dunkley joined Midwest Air Equipment Company as a Sales
Representative. Our business expanded quickly with growth in the Vortex (Regenerative Blowers), mist collection and replacement filter product lines.
In 1994, Dan Dunkley joined Midwest Air Equipment Company as a Sales
Representative. During 1996, Bill and Sue Dunkley purchased ownership
of Midwest Air Equipment Co from Dwight and Mary Kidnocker.
Selena Dunkley, Dan's wife, joined our company as Marketing Director.
Midwest Air Equipment Company is a Professional Sales and Service
Organization and a member of MANA (Manufacturers' Agents National
Association) and ASABE (American Society of Agricultural and Biological
Engineers).
